The hiking trail system at Dalton State was recently given its name: the Roadrunner Trail System, or RTS. 

And on the approximately three miles of trails there are many ways to appreciate nature in all seasons. 

Whether you enjoy watching tiny caterpillars munching on a leaf, 

or the many bird species in the trees and in the undergrowth, 

or whether you are more into appreciating the wildflowers.... 

especially the small delicate wildflowers, 

or looking closely at the detail on the varieties of ferns, 

Whether you can appreciate the texture of a fallen tree or the fungus growing along the trunk, 

or you like to make your visit known by placing a rock along the stream, 

or you just appreciate the way the sun shines through the trees, 

or maybe you want a closer look at insects....

The RTS has it all.... What are you waiting for?
